Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, as part of a delegation led by Seyyed Mohammad Atabak, Iran's Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, announced Iran's readiness to boost steel exports and expand mining cooperation following a visit to Tajikistan's industrial and mining facilities. Highlighting Tajikistan's growing need for long and flat steel products, as well as the development of its distribution infrastructure and water projects, Zarandi emphasized that Iran could play a strategic role in meeting the country's industrial demands and deepening bilateral economic ties. Discussions held with Tajik officials have paved the way for increased exports and joint investments.

Saeed Zarandi, CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group, stated in an interview with IRIB News that Iran is fully prepared to cooperate with Tajikistan, particularly in the fields of steel and mining. "The Tajik steel market is still in its early stages of development and currently requires long and flat steel products. Iran is well-positioned to supply the needs of the Tajik market", Zarandi said. The CEO noted that while steel exports to Tajikistan have been limited so far, the country's ongoing industrialization process presents a significant opportunity to increase the volume of steel product exports.

"During recent meetings with Tajikistan's Minister of Industry and New Technologies, we discussed the development of distribution centers and the expansion of steel exports to the country. Iran is ready to play a greater role in supplying Tajikistan's industrial needs," he added. Zarandi further stated that Iran has expressed its willingness to cooperate in Tajikistan's iron and non-ferrous mining sectors, particularly in mining projects with high potential. "In order to support Tajikistan's water projects, Iran has also announced its readiness to supply water transmission pipes. Tajikistan, which holds the largest freshwater reserves in the region, is planning to implement larger-scale water projects, and Iran is prepared to cooperate in this area," he explained.

The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group emphasized that Iran seeks to expand economic and trade relations between the two countries by developing its steel industries and fostering greater collaboration in this sector. He noted that such cooperation could help meet Tajikistan's domestic needs and also facilitate the expansion of trade with other countries in the region. Zarandi stated that these discussions and agreements are taking place with the full support of Iranian officials, particularly the Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade, who has issued the necessary directives to pursue this cooperation. He expressed that optimism for the development of industrial relations between the two countries is now higher than ever.
