Sepahan Club, a major strategic asset of Iran’s industrial behemoth, Mobarakeh Steel Company (MSC), celebrated its 72nd founding anniversary on October 24, 2025. This landmark event highlighted the unique synthesis of historical heritage and robust corporate power in Asian football.
The club’s modern trajectory was cemented in 2000 through a strategic integration with the industrial giant, MSC. This defining alliance transformed Sepahan into a continental powerhouse, earning it the distinction as the only Iranian club to ever qualify for the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup (in 2007). Founded in 1953 by the late Mahmoud Hariri, Sepahan has also received global recognition, ranking as the 8th best Asian team and 237th worldwide in the first decade of the 21st century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS).
Today, the club is known for its stable management and sound organizational structure, maintaining 68 active teams across 15 different sports. The CEO of Mobarakeh Steel Group marked the occasion with an official message, congratulating the people of Isfahan and the club’s fans.
