According to the analytical news outlet IRASIN, citing the Communications Department of Mobarakeh Steel Group, the National Export Day ceremony was held today, Wednesday, October 21, under the banner of "Dynamic Trade and Value-Adding Exports," attended by the President, the Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the event, 13 distinguished exporters, 43 national exemplary exporters, and 4 commendable exporters were honored.

At the ceremony, Mobarakeh Steel Group was named one of the nation's 13 distinguished exporters, and Saeed Zarandi, CEO of the industrial group, received the Distinguished National Exporter badge from President Masoud Pezeshkian.

This success was achieved despite Mobarakeh Steel Group facing challenging conditions in the year 1404 (March 2025–March 2026)—including the hardships of two imposed wars, damage to production infrastructure, foreign trade restrictions, and a domestic and global downturn in the steel industry. Nevertheless, the group broke its historical export record, registering over $1.1 billion in total group-level exports.

During that year, after supplying the domestic market's requirements, Mobarakeh Steel Group exported 1,827,000 tons of products valued at over $700 million—a performance that, combined with the exports of other group subsidiaries, underscores Mobarakeh Steel Group’s vital role in non-oil foreign currency generation and sustaining the international market presence of Iranian steel products.
